Limba (Korina) Fingerboard Blank
(Terminalia Superba)
Minimum Measurements: 19 1/2" X 2 3/4" X 5/16"
Beautifully variegated with tan, coffee, straw and chocolate color tones, Limba is easy to work and finish. Also known as Korina, our stock is sourced from equatorial West Africa. Limba was the legendary tone wood first used in 1958 to make the earliest versions of Gibson's Flying V. Today, Limba is sought after by builders looking to recreate vintage tones. It's signature as a tone wood is it's ability to produce exceptional reverberating sustain.
Our stock is free of splits that are common to improperly dried limba.
If you're interested in matching Limba pieces, check out our store or send us a note. Our stock is solid, stable and ready to be carved into a one of a kind project. Know what you buy and buy what you know--our Limba is guaranteed to be true to species.
We're proud of the collection of great-looking tonewoods we have. Take a look at our inventory.
Thanks for your support and interest!!! Happy building. Amy
