We're also musicians and have a passion for music, lutherie and the beautiful woods used to make fine instruments. From Brazilian Rosewood to Ziricote, you'll be delighted with our woods, guitar building tools and customer service. 

Because we believe each item we offer will become part of a uniquely personal instrument, whenever possible,we show only actual photos of all tonewood items.  Please note that our stock changes quickly because of our "you pick" approach.  Only a small portion of our inventory is listed for sale on our site. If you have a specific need and can't find it in our store, (or anywhere else),please contact us. We have more than 30 varieties of woods available.

Everyone on the team is a musician.We think this gives us a unique insight into the needs of luthiers, players and aspiring luthiers.

We also build guitars.We have a special passion for collectable Martin guitars and for reproducing Telecaster style guitars.Soon we'll be offering our Telecaster bodies in our online store. Our obsession with incredible and exceptional tone led us to building guitars (and occasionally other stringed instruments). Our shop is based in suburban Washington D.C. in Clarksville Maryland.

A good portion of our inventory dates back to almost 30 years ago. Even our "new" stock has been aged a minimum of 2 years per inches of thickness. By some standards, our approach is over the top. But if you'd like an instrument that is destined to be passed on to the next generation, you're looking in the right place! If you're interested in the age of a particular item/piece, don't be bashful, we're happy to help. Our customers range from first time builders to custom shops and manufacturers that produce extraordinary instruments.
